First Impression:: ELF HD Studio Blush in Encore

Hey Guys!!

Bad, bad blogger, I know. I want to show you a new favorite in my life, now!

ELF's website description:

Rich and creamy HD Blush naturally sculpts and highlights the cheekbones for a soft-focus effect that is great for everyday use. The Vitamin E enriched formula conditions and hydrates the skin for a healthy, radiant glow. Velvety soft, lightweight and highly pigmented color creates a long-lasting result for all day wear.

My Thoughts:

This blush is incredible!! It's everything ELF claims it to be: Creamy, check. Pigmented, check. Long-lasting, check! I will say to use a light hand with this because, as you can tell by the swatch, a little bit goes an extremely long way!! I love that it has a pump because it makes it that much easier to use. I suggest applying it with your fingers or a stippling brush to get the blended out effect.

Look at that color payoff!!

I look forward to trying out more of these blushes, there are five in all and retail for $3USD. Have you tried these & what are your thoughts?

W*Wednesday:: ELF Studio Kabuki Face Brush

Hey Guys!
It's time for another review :)

Standing next to my very battered credit card holder.

CLAIM: This anti bacterial, synthetic haired Taklon brush is softer and more absorbent and can be used with wet or dry products. Be a professional makeup artist and create a flawless look with this brush! Our handy and easy to use Kabuki Brushes provide a light to full coverage on your face or body to ensure a flawless finish. The compact brush is perfectly sized to allow for precise and controlled application of bronzer, powder, or a highlighter on your skin.
*Vegan Friendly

It's A
Because...

  • It's a very soft brush.
  • It's great for buffing out blush if you happen to put too much on.
  • If used for powder foundation, it leaves a great flawless finish.
  • It has minimal shedding after washing.
  • It has very dense bristles which helps with the buffing.
  • At $6, it's super affordable.

The only bad things [although not deal breakers] I can say about this brush is that it's density makes it hard to get completely clean and it can be difficult to find in stores. Other than those small nitpicks, this is a great brush to add to your collection. Also, as you can see from the second picture, it's quite small, so just a heads up!

Have you tried this brush? What do you think about it? Thanks so much for reading!!

My E.L.F. Glossy Gloss Collection

If you haven't noticed, E.L.F. is one of my favorite makeup brands. They have really high quality products for little to nothing prices. In the past, I wrote a post about my top 15 favorite products and I included some of these glosses, but I figured they deserved their own special recognition. These glosses are apart of their Studio line and are $3.00 on http://eyeslipsface.com. They come in 10 shades and I have five of those.

These glosses are very pigmented, which says a lot coming from me because I have a darker upper lip. They are not sticky on the lips and feel very lightweight. If you eat or drink, it will come off some, just like any other gloss, so have it handy to reapply. Since they are so pigmented, you can wear them alone and not feel like you're lacking any color to your lips.

My only con is that there is a brush tip applicator that can be good for lining your lips, but the brush bristles start to bend and stick out every where.

I feel I can reach for any of these glosses at any occasion and be satisfied, whether I'm having lunch and shopping or going out at night! I urge you guys to try at least one of the Glossy Glosses from ELF!

Lip Swatches!
[Sidenote: I did not like how my lips looked in my pictures, so I cropped the middle of my lips to show the color!]

Big Lots Goodies! Reviews & Swatches

I stopped into Big Lots to see if I could find a deal on some cosmetics and I did! I found the L'Oreal HIP shadows for $1.20 each!!!!! I checked different websites like Ulta, CVS, and Walgreens and they all sell these duos for $7.99. I was SO happy I was able to get them at a bargain!

Swatches:

See how amazingly pigmented they are?! I'm definitely going to be looking at other Big Lots for more of these gems. I can see myself using these a lot of different looks. I was hoping the yellow in Poppy would show up a bit more, but I'm happy to have another matte brown in my collection!! I went from having none to two sources! Awesome!

The next thing I got was some lipsticks. I've been looking for an orange lipstick and also a slightly brighter purple than Va Va Violet and I think I went too bright lol. I also picked some others that appealed to me:

I was most excited about the Peach Colada because it looked so pretty in the tube, but as you can see from the swatch, it is very very sheer. It's really hard to even see it on my lips, bummer. I'm glad I picked up Only Orange though otherwise my orange lipstick search would've been in vain! I really like that lipstick and pair it with my ELF Glossy Gloss in Tangy Tangerine. It may seem a little "summery" but I like the combo a lot and I usually wear it everyday.

Last, but not least I picked up this baked eyeshadow palette from L.A. Colors in Praline. They are really shimmery neutral toned shadows and pretty pigmented:

I can't wait to find another Big Lots to scour through!! I hope I've convinced you to stop by yours and check out the cosmetics aisle!

Most of their products are either $1, $3, or $5, or course they have different kits nd makeup sets that cost more but the majority of their individual items are those prices. I had the pleasure of winning their Birthday Celebration grand prize in August so I got a chance to try a lot of their products! Their website is www.eyeslipsface.com, check them out because they are ALWAYS having sales! Here are my top 15 products I love from them. Enjoy! =)
