Today's Pink Pout: Milani lipstick "Rose Hip"

The pictures really don't do this lipstick justice! This is SUCH a bright, "I want you to look at me", blue-toned pink lipstick!! It's said to be a dupe for the well know MAC lipstick Candy Yum-Yum. I don't own it, so I can't do a comparison. 

You can purchase this lipstick from you local drugstores, Walmart, K-Mart, and anywhere Milani Cosmetics are sold.

Mini Drugstore Lippie Haul + Swatches!!!

I picked up a few lipsticks these past couple of weeks. Two from Milani and two from Revlon.

The Milani lipsticks have a very loud watermelon scent and it's apparent as you're applying, but it disappears. They are somewhat less moisturizing than I expected, but if you put on a lipbalm before, you'll be fine. They're super opaque.

The Revlon lipsticks are much creamier in texture and opaque as always. I've been wanting Cherries In The Snow forever! It's a really pretty color. [Revlon Cosmetics & Beauty Tools are 40% off this week at Rite Aid!!]

Atlanta Haul!!!

Hey Guys!

My boyfriend and I went to Atlanta for the day to spend some time at Six Flags. While there, I had to stop by the awesome Beauty Supply Store I'd been hearing so many people in that area talk about. I didn't get as much as I would've liked, but I shall be back :)

Eye Products:

The lip products were a bust!! :( That lipstick is not the one I wanted! It was in the Magenta Madness slot and I was so happy to be in "beautyland" I didn't check the sticker!! Dumb Ashley. Also, that NYX gloss is super sheer and is not the color in the tube, sadly. Other than that, I'm super excited about my haul! Be on the look out for a look I've done with that palette. NOTD Of The Past! **Bright Edition**

I change my nails so much, I don't always get a chance to post them as I'm wearing them but I always take pictures! =)






The first mani is Color Club's Gimme A Grape Big Kiss

And, of course, I needed some *bling*. I used Milani's Jewel FX polish in Silver.

The next mani's polishes were OPIs A Roll In The Hague[from the Holland collection] and Color Club's Raspberry Rush on my ring finger.

The orange really stained my nails. I liked this color combo though, and will probably do it with other colors.

New Makeup Babies!

I'm starting to call my products "babies" now. I officially have a sickness. Anywho let's dodge intervention move right along. . . I picked up some new things to add to my ever growing collection. It's only two things; One I'm already in love with! So let me show you what I got!


First I picked up the Wet N Wild trio in Cool As a Cucumber. It's a purple/green trio that's really pretty. The "Brow bone" color is a matte mint green, the "Crease" color is an eggplant purple with the slightest sheen, and the "Eyelid" color is a gorgeous moss green[this color has the most sheen]. I don't really see a "cucumber" green in this palette, but I can kind of see where they were going. Like a lot of the WnW palettes, you can easily wear this as is and not look too crazy!

 

My next, and most favorite, purchase is actually a first from this line. It's the Milani baked blush in Fantastico Mauve. I asked on Twitter the other day, what should be my first purchase from this company since I don't have anything and I think it was Courtney that suggested a baked blush. Thanks so much Courtney for that suggestion because I am in love with it! I've looked at their blushes before and always passed on them because I really didn't think they were worth it and I was so wrong about that! This blush has white and hot pink veining running through it along with very fine golden glitters. I was skeptical about the glitters at first because I don't need anything making me look shinier, but the gold fades away and just produces the slightest sheen on the cheeks. If I blushed, this is what it'd probably look like! It's just the perfect pink for my skintone[NW 45]!

I plan to buy more Milani Baked Blushes in the future! Which ones do you have and suggest I try out first? PS: stayed tuned for a FOTD that I used this in!
