Small High End Haul + Swatches

Hey Guys!
I purchased the Urban Decay Vice Palette & MAC Rebel lipstick. I'm super excited about both of these purchases.

[T-B]  Desperation | Junkie | Provocateur | Nevermind

[T-B] Muse | Chaos | Rapture | Echo Beach

[T-B] Jagged | Occupy | Vice | Anonymous

[T-B] Blitz | Unhinged | Noise | Freebird

[T-B] Penny Lane | Black Market | Armor | Laced

All of these shadows except two [Provocateur and Freebird] are extremely smooth and pigmented. Those two shadows are kind of chunky with glitter. There are two completely matte shades [Anonymous and Laced] and the rest have a sheen or metallic finish. It also comes with a double ended brush that's really good quality. I'm so happy I picked it up!

Have you made any purchases recently?

November CurlKit

Hey Guys!
Today I want to share the contents of my November Curlkit. I've been getting these boxes for a while and this, by far, has been the heaviest I've received  so far. I was super excited to open it and see what was inside and even more excited when I actually got to dig through it!

The first things I saw were the Curl Life brochure and the U R Curly [one of my fave shampoo brands] pamphlet:

  • As I Am Smoothing Gel
  • U R Curly Quinoa Conditioner
  • Oyin Handmade Juices & Berries herbal leave-in
  • Amazing Botanicals Pumpkin Pomade
  • Ampro Pro Styl Olive Oil stylling gel
  • Moisture Max Oil Moisturizing Lotion [sample packet]
  • Wide Tooth comb [hidden underneath]
  • Alikay Naturals Honey & Sage Deep Condtioner

I was most excited about the U R Curly conditioner!!! If you watched my YouTube video last week, you'd know my W*Wednesday was about their shampoo and how much I  loved it! SO excited to get a full sized conditioner in this Curlkit and to try it out! I'll be sure to review it for you guys either here or on my YouTube channel so be sure to click the button on the right to subscribe! I'll be recording an unboxing video soon so you'll be able to see the products up close and personal.

Are you subbed to this box? What are your thoughts?

November My Shade of Brown Pillowbox

Hey Guys!
I want to share my Pillowbox from MSOB with you! You can purchase them for $10/month on their website.

Lipstick

Finishing Veil

Contents:

  • Georgia Lemongrass Eucalyptus Bodywash
  • Ada Cosmetics Finishing Veil in Medium
  • Hair Rules Quench Ultra Rich Conditioner
  • Black Opal Invisible Oil Blocking Mattifier
  • Black Opal True Color Lipstick in Platinum Quartz

First Impression:

This box had some hit & miss products. The body wash smells amazing! I cannot wait to use it.

MSOB said they picked the medium shade of the finishing veil because it's pretty universal between darker and lighter skinned women. I have yet to try it but it's pretty smooth feeling and blends out pretty well.

I'm most excited about the oil mattifier and I'm really hoping it does it's job.

The bummer in this month's box was the lipstick. It really isn't my type of color at all and it's super small :(  I appreciate that they put a lipstick in the box though and it's really nice to get a makeup type product every month. That's one of the things I love about MSOB.

Overall, this box was alright. I think I enjoyed last month's more and got more out of it.

What did you think of this box? Thanks so much for reading!

Butter London NOTD

I get very boring during the winter months colorwise, I'm not sure why. This Butter London polish is really neutral, but super pretty! This polish is All Hail The Queen and it is a brown, taupe-y color with micro shimmers. So pretty!!

Does your polish style change with the seasons? Mine sure does!

W*Wednesday:: Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo

Hey Guys!

It's a because...

  • This shampoo made my hair feel dry, very hard, and unmoisturized.

That's really the only point I have on why I didn't like this shampoo and that is enough for me to stop using it. I didn't feel like this kept any moisture in my hair and even though it's a sulfate free shampoo, I think it stripped all the oils out of my hair. Maybe some of the other types of this brand will work better, but I'm not anxious to try them out.

Have you tried this shampoo? What are your thoughts?

::Top 5:: Fall + Winter Lipsticks

Hey Guys!
It's finally getting cold down here in the South and I've been pulling out the dark lipsticks. My favorite brand, as you will be able to tell, has definitely been Wet N Wild. Their Megalast  lipsticks are the bomb.com with the pigmentation and lasting power. They are definitely my favorite drugstore lipstick brand!

I think dark lips can be pulled off with all skin tones, it's just about finding the right undertone and color for you. You can also make them more wearable by adding a lip liner or a gloss of a different color.

My Top Five Are ~drum roll please~::

Ravin' Raisin | Cherry Bomb | Sugar Plum Fairy | Vamp It Up | [MAC]  Yung Rapunxel

SWATCHES:

Be sure to check out the video to see lip swatches of these colors. What colors will you be trying in the fall time?

||REVIEW|| Alaffia Skin Recovery Face Set

Hey Guys!

In October, I received this face set in my My Shade of Brown Pillowbox [[post here]] and I have been hooked on it ever since! First of all, let me tell you about Alaffia as a company. They are all about "Advancing Gender Equality and Alleviating Poverty through the Fair Trade of Handcrafted Shea Butter" and they do so much for West African communities. It is amazing! Now onto the face products I've been using:

The set includes a cleanser, toner, and face cream.

Face Cream
Cleanser

Description: Deep, yet gentle cleanser, an oil balancing toner and powerful moisturizing cream. Neem oil, Neem leaf and tea tree oil help fight blemished and also prevent dry patches.

My Thoughts:

These are, honestly, miracle products! So, if you've been following my YouTube channel, you'll know that I've been trying out so many different skin care products and I just have not been having any luck with stopping my breakouts. I'd been hearing so many good things about African Black Soap and all of the ways it can be beneficial to your skin and I am now a believer! You guys have no idea how happy I am to share that I have not had any blemishes on my face in the last 1.5 weeks of the 2 weeks I've been using this set. When I first started this regimen, I did get a break out on my cheek, but I think that was just my face purging and I was going to get that break out anyway. After that, nothing else! I have run out of the toner which sucks because I do feel it's such an important part of the regimen and I have decided to get a full size of it.

I do this regimen day and night and I have not used any other product on my skin. My skin looks brighter and more radiant [no lie!]. It hasn't lightened my acne scars or anything, but it doesn't claim that it'll do that. I love this. I'm sold. I will be buying this over & over again.

You can purchase this set, along with other types of products, on their website. It is a tad bit pricey[$38.50], but for the great way my skin has been looking, I will definitely pay for it!
