L'oreal Colour Riche Caresse Aqua Lip Lacquer in Berry Persistent First Impression + Swatch

Hey Guys!
Today I want to share with you a new lip product I picked up from Target for $7.99! I only picked up one shade in Berry Persistent because I wasn't sure how I'd like these lip lacquers.

Berry Persistent is a plum/berry shade. The lip swatch above is two coats. I applied the first coat, let it dry a bit, then applied the second. This lip color reminds me of Wet N Wild's Sugar Plum Fairy & MAC's Rebel, just more glossy.

The applicator is very interesting. The pointed tip does help get around the contours of your lips easily. Product comes out on both sides so you have to flip it over to continue applying.

When you first apply the lip lacquer, it feels like you have a somewhat waxy covering over the lip color. It's very odd to explain, but I noticed that's what helps it last on your lips. The color does apply evenly without any patchiness and my lips did feel moisturized.

While eating and drinking, the color did stay on my lips but the glossy coat faded which made the product become slightly tacky. It's nothing unbearable, but definitely noticeable. The color lasted for about 3-4 hours and a stain was left on my lips.

I do plan on getting more colors because I am very pleased with these lip lacquers! Have you tried this product yet? What are your thoughts?

Winter Blush Favorite No. 2:: Illamasqua Beg

Hey Guys!
I'm here with another blush that I've been loving to wear this winter. This blush isn't as heavily saturated in color as my first pick [click], but it's just as lovely. Today's pick is Illamasqua's Powder Blush in Beg. I would describe this color as a dusty mauve and a flattering shade for all skin tones.

This blush, like other Illamasqua blushes, has a very soft formula and is easy to blend. It's also buildable if that's the type of look you're going for. I think it's a great color and I reach for it about every other day for a perfect, somewhat understated pink cheek. It is on the pricier side[$24USD/$32CAD on sephora.com], but I think it is worth it.

What do you think of this blush? Thanks so much for reading!

Lipstick Haul From MAC's Strength & Apres Chic Collections

Hey Guys!!
MAC released their Strength & Apres Chic collections on December 26th in stores. I picked up one lipstick from each: Strong Woman and Apres Chic.

Strong Woman is a matte red toned purple.

Apres Chic is a creamsheen and is described as a pinky brick red.

I love both of these formulas. Apres Chic looks like a nice coral for darker skin tones. For the record, Strong Woman is not a dupe for Heroine, it's much more red toned than Heroine but beautiful in it's own right.

Did you pick up anything from these collections?

Product Staple: Nivea A Kiss of Milk + Honey Soothing Lip Care

Hey Guys!
You ever have that one product [or five] in your collection that you'd be lost without and you don't know what in the world you were doing before you ever stumbled upon it? Well, that is how I feel about my beloved Nivea A Kiss Of Milk & Honey lip balm.

I heard about this heaven in a little tube [yes, it's that serious] when I was randomly watching a YouTuber and they mentioned it. I've said goodbye to chapped lips ever since!

So what do I love so much about this particular balm? Firstly, the smell is divine. It's a blend of honey & vanilla, I'd love to have a candle/room spray in the scent. Secondly, it's the most moisturizing balm I've used. It doesn't just sit on top of my lips, it sinks in. Have you ever had a balm that felt non-existent just a few minutes after you've applied them? Well, you won't have that annoyance with this one! Another thing I love is that it doesn't cake up and make your lips have that ashy look if you happen to be somewhat heavy handed putting it on. I have noticed, though, if you are heavy handed, it can feel heavy on your lips so try to not put on too many coats because it won't be needed.

You can purchase this product at most drugstores for around $2-3.

Have you tried this lip balm or do you have another favorite?

Thanks for reading!

Winter Blush Favorite No. 1: Black Radiance Warm Berry

Hey Guys!
I don't know about you, but I usually change up my blush colors during the colder months. I normally go for that "playing in the snow"/"Snow White" type of look. My first favorite is actually the rookie of my blush arsenal, Black Radiance's Warm Berry.

I purchased this baked blush from CVS for around $5 on a whim. I love the pigmentation and it doesn't take much effort to get nice rosy cheeks. The name is the perfect description of the color, which to me looks like a brownish-red.

I was hesitant at first to buy this blush because most baked blushes are pretty shimmery and I do not like shimmer on my face but I was surprised this blush only had the slightest sheen. A mostly matte, highly pigmented, easy to blend baked blush from the drugstore?! Sign. Me . Up.

I do want to try some of their other colors very soon. Have you tried any blushes from Black Radiance?

Hey Guys!
My Ispy Bag arrived in the mail and I was super excited. This is the first one so I couldn't wait to tear into it. Here's what I received:

The bag is really cute. A gunmetal silver with a hot pink inside and "ipsy" inscribed on it.

CONTENTS:

  • Mai Couture Highlighter Papier
  • NYX Loose Pearl Shadow in Charcoal
  • Be A.... Bombshell Lip Gloss in Hot Mess
  • Mirabella Prime for Face & Eyes

SWATCHES:

Overall I'm pretty content with this bag. It was only $10 so I feel like it was worth it. My favorite thing for sure is the gloss. It's my first red gloss! Can you believe that?!

Do you subscribe to Ipsy? What were your thoughts on this bag?

Fools Gold, Caramel Drizzle, Fierce Momma, and Moon Essence

Boo Bear, Dirty Gold, Kandilicous, and Diamond Ash

Scarlett's Dream lip gloss

REVIEW:

Overall, I'm super impressed with the quality of these shadows. They aren't extremely glittery or chunky at all. I have had issues with the mattes blending out on the primer, but I'm sure that's a formulation issue [she is already in the works to make the mattes better]. The Charcoal Signature Scrubie is a great weekly treat that my face has really been loving. You can purchase these beautiful shadows on their website www.myprettylittleaddiction.com. If you want a more in depth review, please check out my video on my YT channel! Thank you, as always, for reading :)

Breaking Dawn Prize Mail from Ulta! [+ Swatches & First Impressions]

Hey Guys!
A few weeks ago I won a twitter giveaway. It was some of the Essence Breaking Dawn Pt. 2 line! Exciting!!

I received four pigments:

[L-R] Jacob's Protection, Alice Had A Vision. . .Again, Edward's Love, and A Piece of Forever

I received two face powders; a blush and shimmer powder:

[L-R]  Bella's Secret & Renesmee Red

There was also a lipstick, lipgloss and glitter eyeliner:

[L-R] A Piece of Forever lipstick, Renesmee Red lipgloss, and Jacob's Protection eyeliner

There was also a Breaking Dawn tote, t-shirt and two nail polishes I didn't get a chance to swatch.

First Impressions:
I am super impressed with this line. I've never had anything except a couple of polishes from Essence before so I had no idea what to expect. Two of the pigments [ two on the right] are extremely glittery so if I use those, I'll more than likely pat them on my lid on top of a glitter adhesive.

The shimmer powder is really smooth and blends well and I could see myself using it as a brow highlight. Love the blush!! It's smooth as well and as you can see, it looks pretty scary in the pan but it blends out into a soft pinky red.

I won't be using the lipstick. I think it's such a weird color and I can't think of a way it'd look good on me. The lipgloss is pretty sheer on the lips, but it's not sticky or anything so that's a plus. The eyeliner was somewhat disappointing because it took quite a few swipes to build it up to what you see in the swatch.

Overall, I can see myself using quite a few of these items and I can't wait to do a FOTD.

Did you pick up anything from this line? How did you like it? Thanks so much for reading!!
