BH Cosmetics: 88 Matte Eyeshadow Palette

Isn't it pretty? This is my first ever palette from BH Cosmetics, but it surely won't be my last. I ordered this palette because 1.) I needed a red shadow 2.) I've always wanted a BH palette and 3.) It was on sale! I am very glad I made the purchase. I underestimated how pigmented these colors were! Now, some of the lighter colors aren't as pigmented as I'd like them to be, but when you build them up, they show up just fine. Another thing I didn't like is that all of the shadows weren't matte. I'm assuming since the majority of the shadows are, they can get away with calling it a Matte Palette? Most of the last two rows on the right are somewhat shimmery, not that big of a deal, but I want you guys to know what you're getting when you order. When I tried to use some of the colors wet, it really didn't work so well. The yellow did not pick up any more wet than it did dry so that was a bummer. I used this palette for the blue in my Playing With Makeup post.

I put a few swatches on my hand just to show the pigmentation[and lack thereof] of some of the shadows.

Like I said earlier, I'm going to be ordering some more palettes from them. If you're on the fence about getting this, or any of the, BH Palettes I hope I convinced you to take the leap of faith!!

Are you sure this is the BH cosmetics pallete?
Because it looks EXACTLY like the costal scents 88 pallete!

I love BH!!! I have their 1st and2nd edition 120 palette. When you get a chance get one of them, they are so worth it. I can't wait to see some EOTD with your new purchase.

oohhh wow! that's what i love about bh eyeshadows, even if they are matte colors, they have a variety of textures and their shimmers (they have metallics, too, which are a little bit different than shimmers) are so lightweight and not clunky chunks of glitters. i only have their single eyeshadow plans as you already know, i'm picky and mostly like neutral eyes.
